![]() Surprisingly enough, my younger son never even wanted to go to the pool. We stayed for the family friendly lake, the cafe, the pool and playground, and the feeling of relative safety while there. It got a little hot up there, but he was OK and there was a small fan in the cabinet under the TV that we found the second day to use. We brought an air mattress with us and my younger son slept up in the loft area. If not, I would suggest guests bring a couple with them. One suggestion for the staff is to have a few more scatter rugs or bath rugs available. The beds were comfy! I do recommended bringing pool/beach towels. in the cabin, though we brought some of our own anyway, just to be safe. There were plenty of towels, blankets, etc. The shower stall was clean but VERY small, so there were no long, relaxing showers taken during our stay, which was really just fine. I have to say, I did not see one bug the entire time we were in the cabin. The AC ran nice and cold while we were there, and it was HOT those days. The cabin was the only 2 bedroom cabin they have there. We booked a three night stay in a cabin July 25-28, 2021. We have visited Flamingo Lake before as guests while friends were staying there, and really enjoyed ourselves. Will not be staying here again and here's another poor review for this place. I was told they were under new ownership however.as nice as it looks in the summer (according to the pics on the website.).a little more effort for winter travelers would be worth it. Clearly stating bounce pillow is out of order and pool temp use rule. When we had gone to the office to discuss the false advertising from the website, we were offered a free 1hr use of their water bike (our younger son wouldnt be able to reach the pedals but it was the thought that counted.) The website should be updated. We walked around the lake multiple times, played on the playground (kids stepped in dog crap WHILE on the playground seeing as ppl don't seem to care). By 1:00 we were done waiting and so were the kids. Was told over 3 times "soon", most likely after had reached 55 by 11:30 am. Bounce pillow was broken (for the past 2 yrs), pool was said to open after it got to 55 degrees air temp. ![]() Following day we went to explore the campground. We arrived after checkin hours and it rained the rest of the night. The website stated open year round.i checked the amenities which stated they had a heated pool, playground and bounce pillow (as well as a large lake to fish, swim- not planning on that in Dec.). ![]() Both are highly active and need to stay busy. I specifically reserved this campground with my 2 kids in mind. I was told they were under new ownership however.as nice as it looks in the summer (according to the pics on the website.).a little more effort for.
